Why become an MPA?
I believe that language and culture are two defining factors which not only connect us to our community, but to the rest of the world as well. By immersing ourselves into the multi-faceted beauty of multiculturalism and embracing a more global perspective of life we realize that we can dream and achieve on a larger scale. If we take the time to understand the cultural barriers and differences around us, we begin to tear down those walls and become more interconnected to one another; because no matter how different we all may seem, at the end of the day, we are all human. My goal as an MPA is to work with my fellow peers to help bridge the cultural gap amongst students. By increasing cultural competency and fostering a more inclusive community we can better embrace the multitude of diversity that UTD embodies and begin to achieve things on a larger scale.
How would people describe me?
